my thoughts on whatever comes to me--including cravings for iyan and egusi soup--as i write.
I strongly agree with you, I can relate to this having to leave home at 1 to pursue Univesity in a Foreign country I faced alot of obstacles. These obstacles taught both taught me and moulded me to become th person I am today.
mutape, thank you for your thoughts. i think moving to a new place, and perhaps having to start all over, is one of those deeply transformative experiences.
Olufunke,You find the most meaningful words and your site always gives me a moment to reflect. Yes, every challenge is really an opportunity, isn't it?
This is an interesting "take" on God not giving you more than you can handle. I really do feel, from past experience, that nothing is an accident or a coincidence -- the trials we face, the sometimes uphill battle we face in certain circumstances have been placed in the road for us to overcome...that there is learning to be done, consciousness to be raised and that we have reached a "time" in our journey when this is the lesson that has been waiting for us...the next step in our personal evolution. The choice is ours how we handle and conquer that. I love how this was said...you find the most amazing quotes Olufunke!!
lisa, yes! i once read (and am learning to understand) that within every obstacle is an equal or greater benefit.sherry, what you've said about lessons and timing...how true.
Olufunke, this is exactly what I need to hear right now. Thank you! K.
