this is one reason i am unwilling to believe we cannot be better than we are at this moment; and this is yet another. i am grateful for the idealism of those courageous enough to see a corroded world with pristine eyes.

Obama will be in Denver on Wednesday and I'm going! He campaigned here for Senator Ken Salazar when he (Barack) was also running for the senate. Blew us all away. I can't wait!
i'm looking forward to your post on it!
Caroline Kennedy's piece made me realize that as much as I want to be idealistic, I have allowed myself to be sucked into the cynicism of our time. Like her, I've always envied previous generations who had Martin Luther King, John F. Kennedy, Robert Kennedy and other visionary leaders to inspire them and to make them believe that we could change this country and the world. I want to believe.
"I want to believe."
lisa, i think most of us do; and this might be that moment.
I totally agree with you on this post. And of course Einstein said it right.
Cheers.
There are great men. And there are great women. But there are times when someone comes along and you just "know", you just "feel" that who they are, what they say and what they represent is something that you want for yourself. I think Obama possesses that something. Apparently so does Caroline Kennedy.
hi aloofaa,
i'm glad this resonates with you. thank you for sharing your thoughts.
hello sherry,
yes, indeed he does.
I am so glad Loomnie recommended this post.
I'm a politics junky and can't get enough of it all. Anyway, I wish both contenders (democratic) the best of luck this Super Duper Tuesday.
Its about time I put up another Obama post at Nigerian Curiosity. Lets see the results from tonight.
Thanks for sharing this.
