my thoughts on whatever comes to me--including cravings for iyan and egusi soup--as i write.
I struggle with this. Most of the people close to me tend to be far more outspoken than I am, while I frequently keep my comments to myself, particularly when someone says something I disagree with or even find offensive. I'm not sure why I've got such a "don't make waves" attitude. Very often, I think it serves me well, but now and then I do find myself wishing I had said something.
Hi Mama Oniyan ati Egusi!Yeah, I agree with this "Speak your mind even if your voice shakes" attitude. I should like to think I sometimes put it into practice, though one can never be sure...MW
ah molara! if only i could change the blog address to "mama oniyan ati egusi"...what a world it would be! :)
If only I knew what that meant! Just wanted to drop in and tell you that my work has been keeping me from reading much, but I'm halfway through So Long a Letter and I am riveted! What an incredible story and what beautiful prose.
