space as art

pseudo-independent commented on the photograph to the top right. that picture, as well as the others (so noted), are from my summer 2006 visit to nigeria. i snapped all of the photographs, and then applied various light/art techniques, using my computer's photo editing system.

my intention is to fill this space with the things that remind me of who i am.

dear pseudo,

you're really much too kind.

my website was built with the simplest web-building software i could find, as i'm not technically inclined.

yes, the music on my website is a good representation of what i listen to. i love various kinds of african music. the song is called "sarama," by a malian couple-duo, amadou and mariam. you can find the song on "the very best of africa vol. 2" cd (highly recommended).

i'll check out the photography website you've mentioned. i'm not just being modest when i say i'm not particularly skilled at photography. i do think the more serious i am about my writing work, the more i open up to the arts as a whole.

the "we gather" is a picture i took of my family/extended family/neighborhood people (you know everyone is family in nigeria) while in lagos.

thank you for the kindness, and for coming by.
